INCLUDE Study
What if you could detect cancer earlier? Join the INCLUDE study!
CSC is so excited to share that we have launched a new research study to understand the use of a new multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test. In partnership with Whitman-Walker Health and Grail, the test's developer, we will provide access to this new blood-based screening.
The study, called INCLUDE, is being conducted to test a new multi-cancer early detection product called Galleri®. This test screens for the presence of current cancer cells for more than 50 types of cancer - most of which have no current available screening options.
To be eligible for this study, individuals must be:
Aged 50 years and older OR
Aged 22-49 with two or more of the following:
- Have received a diagnosis of HIV
- Smoked cigarettes for at least 5 of the past 30 years at a rate of 3 cigarettes per day or 1 pack per week
- Screens positive for heavy drinking in their lifetime
- Have engaged in recreational injection drug use
- Have used anabolic steroids without a prescription or to improve muscle mass or physical performance
- Live with overweight or obesity
- Have had a prior cancer diagnosis without current evidence of recurrence for at least three years
- Have a family history of cancer (first degree relative has been diagnosed with cancer)
- Have inherited cancer syndrome
If you are interested, you can screen by calling the study staff at 202-207-2484. You can also visit the Whitman-Walker clinic at 1377 R St NW, Suite 200 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm on Mondays or 11:00 am - 4:00 pm on Wednesdays for walk-in screening.
